Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use Soltar. By creating an account, you accept them.

Who we are

Soltar is run by Elsa Edward Amri, Calle Cronista Carreres 10, Ground Floor, Ciutat Vella, 46003 Valencia, Spain. Contact us at info@heysoltar.io.

Who can use Soltar

You must be at least 16. By creating an account you confirm that you are.

You’re responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.

What Soltar does

Soltar helps you practise a language: you bring in lessons or generate them, practise through conversation with an AI tutor, save vocabulary, and review it over time.

Soltar is a practice tool, not a teacher, a translator or a certification. Its tutors, corrections, lessons and translations are generated by AI and can be wrong. Check anything that matters before relying on it, particularly for work, study, travel or anything official.

Your content

What you create in Soltar stays yours: your lessons, notes, messages, recordings and saved words.

You give us permission to store that content and to send it to the providers listed in our Privacy Policy, so the app can do what you’ve asked it to. We don’t use it for anything else, and we don’t use it to train AI models.

You’re responsible for what you bring in. Don’t upload material you don’t have the right to use.

Free and Pro

Soltar has a free tier and a paid subscription called Soltar Pro.

Free includes 3 conversations a day, unlimited typed lessons, 3 photo or document lessons in total, 1 recorded lesson of up to 30 minutes, 3 generated lessons in total, unlimited saved vocabulary and verbs, and every language we offer.

Pro includes unlimited conversations, unlimited photo, document and recorded lessons, recordings of up to 90 minutes each, and 10 generated lessons a day.

Where a lesson is counted, it counts when we process it, whether or not you save the result. Deleting a saved lesson frees its slot again.

Conversations end after 80 messages from you, on both tiers, and we’ll write you a summary when they do.

Where we describe something as unlimited, we mean there is no limit you will reach in normal use. We apply technical limits to protect the service from abuse or from faults, and we don’t publish those figures. If you’re using Soltar normally, you won’t encounter them.

Spoken audio depends on a third-party provider. If its capacity is temporarily exhausted, audio may be unavailable for a period. The rest of Soltar continues to work, and we prioritise Pro subscribers when capacity is limited.

We may change what each tier includes. If we reduce what Pro includes in a way that matters, we’ll tell you before it takes effect, and you can cancel.

Subscriptions and payment

Pro is available monthly or annually. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy.

Subscriptions are sold through Apple and billed to your Apple ID. They renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings. Deleting your Soltar account does not cancel your subscription.

If a free trial is offered and you take it, you won’t be charged until it ends. Cancel before then and you won’t be charged at all. Only one trial is available per Apple ID.

Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

If you’re in the EU, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. By starting a subscription and using Pro immediately, you agree that the service begins during that period; you may still withdraw, and any refund would be handled by Apple.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Soltar to break the law, to harass anyone, or to generate content that is hateful, sexually explicit, or harmful to others.

Don’t try to get around the limits on your plan, access other people’s accounts or our systems, interfere with the service, scrape it, or use it through automated tools.

Don’t resell Soltar or use it to build a competing product.

If you break these terms, we may suspend or close your account. Where it’s serious, we may do so without notice.

Availability

We do our best to keep Soltar running, but we don’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, suspend or stop parts of it, and we’ll give notice where we reasonably can.

Some features depend on third-party services. If one of those is unavailable, that part of Soltar may not work.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Soltar and delete your account at any time, in Settings. Deleting your account removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. It does not cancel an Apple subscription, which you must cancel separately.

We may close your account if you break these terms, or if we stop offering the service, in which case we’ll give reasonable notice.

Our liability

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.

Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for anything arising from your reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability to you is limited to what you’ve paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

If you’re a consumer, you keep all the rights that Spanish and EU consumer law gives you. Nothing here takes those away.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Soltar after that means you accept the new terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you’re a consumer, you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.

The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
